Mr. Ding-A-Ling Ice Cream brings our award-winning ice cream service to weddings, schools, corporate events and parties statewide.
From weddings to school events and everything in between, our NY-based ice cream caterers are excited to help you create a memorable day filled with laughs and smiles. Here’s a closer look at some of the most common events we’ve served.
Being together for years deserves more than a cake. Our ice cream catering service brings back memories of chasing the truck down the street to get a cone on hot summer days. It’s nostalgic, celebratory, and gets everyone outside together.
Guests step outside, grab a treat, and mingle beyond the gift-opening circle. Works well for backyard showers, venue showers with outdoor access, and co-ed showers where you want something beyond the typical brunch spread.
After the service, the party, and the candle lighting, energy flags. The ice cream truck changes that. Guests head outside, kids get excited again, and the celebration gets a second wind. A hit with the 13-year-olds and their grandparents alike.
Outdoor concert series are a summer staple in Upstate New York, from Alive at Five in Albany to town park lineups in Cohoes, Clifton Park, and Bethlehem. Families grab treats between sets, and you're offering something beyond the usual food truck fare.
The jingle starts and kids lose their minds. No setup, no melting cake drama, no cleanup. Just the truck pulling up to your street or cul-de-sac, and suddenly it's the best party ever. Works for adult milestones too.
The truck serves everyone from little cousins to great-aunts, creates a gathering point in the backyard chaos, and gives your graduate a send-off before the next big life step.
The night before the wedding should feel relaxed and fun. An ice cream truck at your rehearsal dinner next to the restaurant patio gives the wedding party something to laugh about together before tomorrow's formalities.
Block parties, housewarmings, summer kickoffs with the neighbors. Whatever the reason you're gathering people, we create a shared experience and a reason to step outside together.
From village and church festivals to fire department carnivals, New York towns know how to throw a community event. The truck draws families in, and we serve fast enough to handle festival-sized crowds.
Employee appreciation hits different when an ice cream truck pulls into the parking lot. We've served company picnics at GlobalFoundries, Albany Med, General Electric, and office parks across the state.
We can coordinate treat colors with your reveal, letting guests discover the news as they're served. Builds anticipation, creates a shared moment at the truck window, and gives everyone something to enjoy while celebrating.
Field days, fun fairs, end-of-year celebrations. We work with PTAs and school districts from Onondaga to Washington counties. Kids get one of their favorite treats right at school, while the teachers and staff get an event that runs itself.
Orientation week, finals stress relief, spring fest, alumni weekend. We've served at UAlbany, RPI, Siena, Saint Rose, Syracuse, HVCC, & more. From Lewis to Ulster counties and everywhere in between, college students respond to an ice cream truck the same way they did when they were eight years old.
Cut through conference fatigue with an afternoon break. It gets attendees outside, gives them something to enjoy together, and creates energy heading into the final sessions.
Little League, soccer championships, swim team banquets. The ice cream truck turns the trophy handout into an actual celebration. Kids swarm the truck, parents relax, and the team gets a memory beyond the final game. Whatever you’re celebrating, we’ll help you take it to the next level with tasty, frozen treats that everyone can enjoy together.

The Limitations
New York’s Capital Region has been the center of state government since Albany became the capital in 1797. The Empire State Plaza, the brownstones of Center Square, and the historic neighborhoods of Troy and Schenectady give this area an architectural character you won’t find anywhere else in Upstate New York. Dutch colonial roots run deep here, visible in place names like Rensselaer and Watervliet that trace back to the original patroon system. Today the region mixes state workers, university communities, tech employers, and families who’ve been here for generations. We serve events throughout Albany, Schenectady, Troy, and the surrounding suburbs, from downtown venues with views of the Hudson to backyard parties in Delmar and Loudonville.

Saratoga built its reputation on two things: the natural mineral springs that made it a 19th century spa destination, and the Saratoga Race Course, the oldest sporting venue in America. That history of hospitality shaped a community that knows how to host guests, which is why the area has become wedding central for Upstate New York. But Saratoga County is also home to the Saratoga Battlefield, where the American victory in 1777 became the turning point of the Revolutionary War. Today the county stretches from the elegant downtown of Saratoga Springs to family communities like Ballston Spa and Malta, from historic Mechanicville to the growing suburbs along the Northway. We serve events at wedding venues, backyards, parks, and everywhere in between.
The Adirondacks covers six million acres of protected wilderness, making it larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier, and Grand Canyon combined. Lake George, called the Queen of American Lakes since Thomas Jefferson’s time, sits at the park’s southeastern edge and has drawn summer visitors for over a century. The region’s history includes the French and Indian War battles at Fort William Henry, the Great Camps built by Gilded Age industrialists, and the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. Today, Lake George, Bolton Landing, and the surrounding communities host summer celebrations against mountain backdrops that make any event feel special. We’ve catered weddings at lakefront resorts, family reunions at rented cottages, and community events in towns like Glens Falls and Queensbury.
The Hudson River Valley inspired America’s first homegrown art movement when Thomas Cole and the Hudson River School painters captured its landscapes in the 1820s. Washington Irving set his stories here, giving us Rip Van Winkle and the Headless Horseman in the hills around Catskill and Sleepy Hollow. The Catskill Mountains later became famous for the Borscht Belt resorts that launched generations of comedians. Columbia and Greene counties carry this creative legacy forward, attracting artists, writers, and weekenders from New York City who’ve transformed towns like Hudson and Chatham. The region’s historic estates, converted barns, and boutique hotels now host weddings and events that draw guests from across the Northeast. We serve celebrations throughout these river towns and mountain communities.
The Mohawk Valley earned its name as the Gateway to the West because the river corridor provided the only natural break through the Appalachian Mountains. This made it a military corridor during the Revolutionary War and later the route of the Erie Canal, the engineering marvel that opened America’s westward expansion in 1825. You can still see the original canal locks in communities like Fort Plain and Canajoharie, and Howe Caverns draws visitors underground to see formations millions of years in the making. Towns like Amsterdam, Johnstown, and Gloversville built their identities around industry and have maintained strong community bonds even as the economy shifted. We serve events throughout the valley, from riverside communities along Route 5 to the southern Adirondack foothills around Caroga Lake.

The Central New York region serves as the gateway to the western Adirondacks, with Route 28 climbing north through the mountains to the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Generations of families have made the drive up for summer camps, hunting seasons, and lakeside vacations. The communities here, from Herkimer’s historic downtown to Little Falls along the Mohawk maintain the kind of local pride that brings people out for town events and family celebrations.
